Refining Depressed Acne Scars for Smoother-Looking Skin

This client was concerned about crater-like uneven skin texture and excess sebum across the face and wanted to achieve smoother, more even-looking skin. In this case, subcision and isotretinoin were combined as part of the treatment plan.

Subcision targets fibrous bands beneath depressed acne scars by releasing the tethered tissue, helping the depressed areas become less noticeable. Isotretinoin was also incorporated to help reduce sebum production, allowing the treatment plan to address both uneven skin texture and excess oil production.

After treatment, the crater-like depressions appeared less noticeable, giving the overall skin a smoother and more refined appearance.
