  • Tattoo removal

As life stages and environments change, many people consider removing their tattoos.
However, previous laser treatments had issues such as severe pain, persistent colored ink, and a long removal time.

The pico laser (Picosure) introduced at our clinic is a new treatment device that significantly improves these issues.
Because it breaks down ink into small particles while minimizing thermal damage to the skin, tattoos can be removed in a shorter period of time than before.

Our clinic is staffed by Dr. Fujise, a dermatologist formerly employed at one of the largest cosmetic surgery clinics, who has extensive experience in tattoo removal.

Recommended for people who

  • Those who want to remove permanent makeup such as eyebrows or eyeliner
  • Those who want to lighten or make their tattoo less noticeable
  • Those who want to remove their tattoo for reasons such as employment or marriage
  • Those who want to minimize pain and stress on the skin during treatment
  • Those who are anxious about their first laser treatment and want a thorough explanation

What is Tattoo Removal?

Our tattoo removal treatments are performed using the latest picosecond laser technology.
A picosecond laser works by irradiating the skin with high-energy energy for a very short period of time (picoseconds), breaking down the tattoo pigment into tiny particles.
The broken-down ink particles are gradually excreted through the body's metabolism, gradually fading the tattoo.

Compared to conventional lasers, this method causes less thermal damage and is characterized by efficient treatment while minimizing pain and redness.

Full Color Support

Picosure uses a picosecond laser and a 755nm Alexandrite wavelength, making it suitable for multi-color tattoos, including not only black but also red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and brown.

The ultra-short picosecond irradiation easily breaks down ink into small particles.
Furthermore, the 755nm wavelength is easily absorbed by a wide range of colors, including blue, green, and black,
ensuring high removal efficiency even for colors that are difficult to remove with conventional lasers.

In addition, by delivering energy deep into ink while minimizing thermal damage,
even multi-color tattoos can be efficiently and safely treated.

Side Effects & Risks After laser treatment, redness, swelling, and stinging may occur.
Temporary scabs and pigmentation may be seen, but these will often improve over time.
Depending on the condition of the treated area, blisters or mild inflammation may occur, so please consult us immediately if you notice any abnormalities.
Bathing On the day of treatment, only take a shower.
Rubbing the affected area or soaking in a bathtub and warming it too much may cause inflammation.
From the next day onwards, you may take a bath as long as the redness and pain are not severe.
Makeup / Skincare If the treatment area is your face, such as for facial permanent makeup removal, please avoid wearing makeup on the day.
From the next day onwards, if there is no redness or stinging, you can apply regular makeup and skin care.
However, if scabs have formed, be careful not to touch them forcefully.
Sun Exposure Avoid sun exposure after treatment.
Contraindications Pregnant / breastfeeding / photosensitivity / keloid prone / severe skin inflammation / those who have just sunburned or are planning to sunburn / those taking oral gold preparations / those with a history of epileptic seizures (if triggered by light stimuli)

FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

How many treatments will it take for a tattoo to fade?
The number of treatments required will vary greatly depending on the color, depth, size, and ink used in the tattoo.
The general guideline is 5 to 10 treatments, but if the tattoo is only black or has a shallow layer of ink, it may fade with fewer treatments.
Will scars remain?
Pico laser treatment minimizes thermal damage, so in principle it is unlikely to leave scars.
However, temporary pigmentation may occur depending on the color and depth of the strong reaction.
Can color tattoos be removed?
Pico lasers can use more wavelengths than conventional lasers, making them more sensitive to colors such as red, blue, and green.
However, the degree of response varies depending on the color, so multiple treatments may be necessary.
Can permanent makeup (eyebrows, eyeliner, etc.) be removed?
Yes, it is possible.
However, as the irradiation level needs to be adjusted safely in areas with thin skin (around the eyebrows and eyelids), a thorough examination will be conducted beforehand.
Does it hurt?
You may feel a pain similar to being snapped with a rubber band.
Because there is less heat damage than with conventional lasers, some people find that the pain is less severe.

Our clinic offers a wide range of anesthesia methods, including cream anesthesia, nitrous oxide anesthesia, block anesthesia, and intravenous anesthesia, and we strive to make treatment as painless as possible.
How long is the downtime?
After the treatment, redness, slight swelling, and stinging may continue for a few days.
Afterwards, scabs may form, so it is important to keep the treated area clean and without rubbing it.
Will it interfere with my work or daily life?
There will be no major interference, but if the treatment area is visible, you may be concerned about redness and the need to apply ointment.
Also, please avoid sun exposure after treatment.
How long should the interval between treatments be?
Generally, treatments are performed at intervals of 6 to 8 weeks.
As the ink needs time to metabolize, consecutive treatments with short intervals are not recommended.
