Jowl fat removal is a procedure to remove fat located near the corners of the mouth (jowl fat). By making a small incision in the mucous membrane near the sides of the mouth and inserting a suction tube to remove excess fat, the procedure targets fat primarily located in the lower part of the face. This can help improve sagging and marionette lines, as well as provide a sharper and more contoured facial line.
While malar fat is a superficial fat layer close to the skin, buccal fat is deep within the muscles. Although both are located in the cheek, removing them has different effects. In cases where removing malar fat alone does not sufficiently improve sagging cheeks, removing buccal fat can help reduce nasolabial folds and marionette lines for a more youthful appearance.

Is stitch removal necessary?
We use dissolvable stitches, which naturally dissolve over time. Therefore, no visit for stitch removal is required.
