The procedure involves making an incision on the outer side of the eyelid skin to approach the tarsal plate and fascia from the surface and perform tacking, creating a downward-slanting eye shape. While the principle of pulling down using threads is the same as with the suture method, the surface incision allows for skin shortening, enabling the creation of a well-balanced and firmly fixed downward-slanting eye. With controlled pressure and the removal of excess skin, this method has a lower risk of causing inward-turning eyelashes compared to the usual suture method. It allows for a more significant downward angle, making it preferable for designs that require a larger adjustment, recommended for those who wish for a more pronounced downward-slanting eye shape that cannot be achieved with the suture method.

Once confirmed, we will begin preparations for the surgery.
The affected area is disinfected, and both eye drop anesthesia and local anesthesia are administered.
We slowly inject the anesthetic to minimize discomfort.
You can also choose laughing gas anesthesia as an option.
The skin on the upper eyelid is incised, and the tacking is done through the skin to the eyelid plate and fascia to create the desired downturned eye shape.
The procedure takes about 60 minutes.
