Adding Natural Volume for Soft, Fuller-Looking Lips

This client was concerned that the philtrum appeared long and wanted to add natural volume to the lips while creating a more balanced appearance around the mouth. In this case, 0.9 cc of hyaluronic acid filler was injected into the lips.

Lip filler can do more than simply add volume. By adjusting the contour and three-dimensional shape of the lips, it can also change the visual balance between the nose and mouth. The treatment was designed to create subtle fullness without making the lips appear overly voluminous.

After treatment, the lips appeared naturally fuller and more dimensional from the front, side, and angled views, creating the impression of a relatively shorter-looking philtrum. The doctor carefully considered the lip contour, volume, and balance between the upper and lower lips to achieve a natural-looking result. Results and recovery may vary between individuals.
