Refining Nasal Base Hollows for a Softer, Natural Look

This client was concerned that shadows beside the nose were creating an older-looking appearance and wanted to soften these shadows for a more youthful impression. In this case, 1 cc of hyaluronic acid filler was injected into the alar base area.

Hollowing around the alar base can create shadows and make the lines around the mouth appear more prominent. Hyaluronic acid was carefully injected to restore volume in the hollow area and create a smoother, more natural transition from the side of the nose to the cheek.

Immediately after treatment, the shadow beside the nose appeared less noticeable, giving the face a more youthful overall impression. Rather than simply filling the hollow, the doctor carefully considered the three-dimensional balance of the surrounding facial contours to achieve a natural-looking result.
